Job Evaluation

Organisations undertake job evaluation exercises to become clear about how jobs are graded relative to each other. There may be concerns about equal pay for work of equal value. The outcome of job evaluation is a relative ranking of posts.

Job evaluation is a big undertaking involving all employees. It takes at least six months and involves detailed scrutiny of all posts, which can be a sensitive matter. I can work with you to develop a detailed management plan to avoid pitfalls in the job evaluation process and guide you through the exercise from beginning to end.

I have designed a job evaluation scheme specifically for the voluntary sector. This has been used successfully by a range of clients for more than ten years. I can tailor the scheme for different types of voluntary organisation.
